I am using mozilla 1.2.1 (as shipped with RH9). I tried using upgraded versions (1.3, 1.3.1, 1.4.1) and it didn’t make a difference. When I try to open a PDF the bottom of the screen shows that it transfers the document then it sticks on “Running Helper”. My helper is set to open pdfs with xpdf. I tried other programs (ghostview, PS/PDF viewer, etc.). Nothing works. Its like the helper setting is wrong or it doesn’t work in my mozilla browser. Strange thing is I can open it knoquerer with no problems. Konquerer is reading the same helper setting that I set in mozilla (I know this because when I go back to mozilla and change the setting to save the file and then launch konquerer the knoquerer browser will save the file). Strange that one front end works and the other doesn’t. I don’t like knoquerer and would prefer to keep using mozilla. Any ideas? All help is greatly appreciated.
