Can’t recieve email on sendmail

Sendmail expart’s can u help me with my problem, i have a redhat 6.1 whick i use for email porposes with my isp. the problem is that sendmail can send email out but i could not recieve any mail coming in…please help me…i am beating my brains with this..
do i need to configure my DNS or sendmail please advice me….
