Career Decision

I’m a part time network tech getting my associates in august & then I start my bachelor’s in MIS.
My dilemma:
Would taking a job as a receptionist set me back professionally?
The job offers free tuition for my bachelors & masters degrees & that’s the only reason I’m considering it. It would save me at least 10 grand in student loans. This university has no IT dept I could try to get into later so the position would have no future for me.
And, I love fixing systems & working on networks.
Anyone’s thoughts would be appreciated.
