career in software testing

hi

i m a software developer, having 5 years of expreince mainly in microsoft technologies. in last two years, i have obtained masters degree in computers.
i m working with a medium sized software development co., which is in hospital information system.
i m getting an opportunity to get into software testing as a entry level professional with a us based co.
i m confused about the same, so pl help me out in taking decision
