Career Options – Chicken & Egg

I have seven years experience in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line desktop support mainly focussing on the desktop side, but with nearly two years server admin (Backups, monitoring etc). I have completed an MCP in Windows 2000 Professional and am working towards 2000 Server. I am finding it hard to move jobs (due to pending redundancy) as most places seem to want people with lots of server experience. I also have some Project Management & internal training experience as part of being responsible for ourWindows/Office 2000 Desktop roll out which I quite enjoyed but don’t know how to progress into Project Management or a more server specific role – any suggestions or advice would be most welcome.
