After spending 20 years in the electronic systems integration industry (in both technical and management positions), I am now ready for a career change. Specifically, I am strongly considering the possibility of starting my own network services business, focusing exclusively on the computing needs of small to medium-sized businesses (under 100 workstations?), especially those utilizing Microsoft operating systems/applications software and or/Cisco products. While I have looked into a variety ofre-training options such as community college and trade schools such as New Horizons, what I really need at this point in time is some good, solid advice from those already entrenched in the IT industry regarding the optimum career training path forme to to achieve this goal. If you were me, what would you do, and in what order would you do it?
