Carly and her golden 21mil parachute

OK – so how do I explain business to my college kid. Carly Fiorina is ‘let go’, cause she didn’t do the job she promised.

She got a nice salary, and as a parting ‘gift’, 21 million dollars.

Most of the rest of us are lucky to get 1 week of pay for every year we worked – if laid off. If we’re fired, it’s ‘hasta la vista baby’.

How do you explain that?

PS – how many jobs could HP have kept in the US, for that salary plus $21 mil?
