I can not seem to resovle this problem.
On boot up cd rom opens, if I close it , it reopens. Windows xp device manager says it is working, but when a disk is inserted nothing, but get told that it reqires the driver (sometimes), also my second cd rom is not recognised by bios or windows and does not open, but on several occasions if I use the open button my other cd rom opens. I did have a trojan called gzmrotate.dll but this was removed, I have tried restore, roll back driver (but there is none). Question firstly how do I resolve this situation , secondly would a complete format and clear the bios reolve the problem (if I do this whats the chances of my cd rom / dvd work at all for re- installation of windows)
