CD-RW detects data CDs as music

by charliespencer . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

I’ve got a single hard drive on the primary IDE. The CD-RW is the D: drive on the secondary IDE, along with an empty hard drive cartridge caddy. The CD-RW detects data CDs as music CDs. The disk name appears as “Audio CD”, and the only file shown is “Track01.cda”. I’ve had the same problem with two different vendor software installation CDs, Roxio and Ghost; these CDs work fine when I install from them over the network. I’m running Windows XP Pro SP2.
