cdrom ?

Hi. I have RedHat 7.1. I cant mount my cdrom any longer. I have it listed in /etc/fstab as the following: /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu ro 0 0.
I know thats right, but I read that if /etc/mtab is corrupted it will messup the mount command! I guess I could edit the mtab if I new what to do exactly. When I display that file it shows my boot partition and root partition only.
Also, when I use the mount command I get this error: cant find /mnt/cdrom in etc/fstab or /etc/mtab.Hope you can help with specifics……..Pat
