Centralized Exchange 2000 Deployment

Would like to get some information on a centralized (both hardware and Admin) Exchange 2000 Architecture. WAN considerations, Centralized Server placement-Pro/Con. If anyone has done a deployment like this, I would like to discuss this with you. Much Appreciated
