I am myself a MCSE in Windows NT, and i say this with pride because i know i can manage a Windows NT network, really manage it. I fought long and hard, and only took the exam when i knew that i was smart enough to pass it. And i did, including TCP/IP and Exchange server 5.5.
Allong comes a former colleague and he reads a few braindumps, reads the books too, and read some more braindumps. He goes and takes the MCSE in four months. I know him and know that he sometimes doesn’t know how to add a new user. The man is not good with computers, but because he was good at remembering he could pass the exams.
I know this is an extreem case, but none the less true. And i wonder what are my certifiction worth, because im not that proud anymore.
I know that someone will call me bitter after reading this, but i really am not, because i have the great job, he doesn’t.
