I’ve read a lot of comments around here…. You are doing a great job here, guys – and i mean that. I’m an “alien” here (in US) and i’m a little scarred… Even i’ll get certifications ( I started with OCP, now i’m running for Comptia), I have 10 years experience as independent programmer back home in xBase (Fox, Visual dBase, SQL)… how can I proove here (in US) my experience ? All job offers are requiring references, job history… I’m in a much bad position than anyone… What should I do ? I’m an ordinary IT – i’m not a genius and i’m aware of that. I love databases, my activity was to create systems for supermarkets (like Safeway), inventory, stocks, buyers-suppliers bill tracking, accounting interfaces… Seems that all my knowledge worths nothing here… Seems impossible to be independent here, i’m really scarred and i’m wondering what to do and from where to start…
