cgi or asp

I have this problem that has been just baffling me. I never knew how to set up a server to support cgi scripts. I’ve created cgi scripts using perl, and c++. The problem is when I designed a basic form to activate the program. The cgi program didn’t work. I didn’t even get a response page.

I would really like to use asp. However, our server is not configured to support this.
