Cisco Router to buy to study for CCNA?

by d_cisco2000 . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

What kind of Cisco router would be good to buy to learn Cisco at home?

I currently have 3 computers running Windows 2000 and three others running Windows 98 connected in a star network.

I am already an MCSE and am looking to go on to get my CCNA certification (Exam #640-508). I currently have a DSL Line connected to my Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

My main need is to be able to purchase a Cisco Router that I will be able to log in to the IOS with and be able to learn the Cisco commandsand work through different scenarios while tweaking & building my network.

So, (1) what would be the best type of Cisco router for me to buy? (2) Where can I buy Cisco routers (please include website, company phone #, etc. when posting). (3) Whatare some good URLs to get further information on Cisco routers & where to purchase them?

Please let me know & please feel free to e-mail me at d_cisco2000@yahoo.com.
