Cname resolution problem

Hey people,

I am in the process of rolling out a new naming system for my network.
This naming system consits of the NETBIOS name for the computer and
also a CNAME attached within the entires.. Now the Cname’s works within
the Domain, with some VPNs ouside the componey, they cannot connect to
the computer using the CNAME, but when using the full netbios name
the client’s could conenct to it. Now replicating the problem with a mobile
broadband connected to a laptop it does work… What’s going on?
