Compaq DL360 Breaking Mirrored Volume

I am posting this in the hope that somebody will be able to assist me in this matter.

Currently, I have a number of Compaq DL360 servers that have two 9.1Gb physical disks configured in a hardware RAID 1 configuration. This mirrored configuration has an installation of NT Server 4.0 SP6a. Is it possible to break this mirrored configuration and still retain the operating system? I have looked through a number of articles on the Compaq site, but I have been unavailable to find anything thatsays ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
