Computer reboots when I print

I have a Sharp AL6451 which is approx 3 years old and has been on another computer without any problems. Recently installed this printer on a new computer (XP PRO SP2) and every time we print from any program or even a test page, the computer will reboot.

I have completely uninstalled the printer and associated software and downloaded a new copy of the driver and reinstalled the printer (twice) to no avail.

All Windows updates are in place except for SP3.
