computer turns on and basically all it will do

my laptop turns on , shows settings and that’s it. tried to boot but won’t even with ultimate boot CD and computer shuts down giving reading SETUPDD.SYSPAGE-FAULT-IN-NONPAGED-AREA. THIS IS AN OLD GATEWAY LAPTOP AND I CAN’T GET IN TO CHANGE BIOS SETTINGS BECAUSE I FORGOT PASSWORD.
