Need some help. recently added ATT U-Verse Fiber inet at home. They use a 2wire 3800 residential gateway as modem, router and wireless. I don’t want to use the 2wire wireless and it is turned off. 2Wire must handle DHCP since it is also sending iptv to four set tops (nice quality compared to digital cable). I would like the linksys to handle the internal wired and wireless connections, especially since RIM says my new Blackberry curve (T-Moble 8830)has the best luck switching between EDGE network and wireless UMA with the Linksys. I would think I could turn off DHCP on Linksys, set it to a static ip and be good to go, but know such luck. Linksys tech supoort’s great suggestion was to buy a new wrt54gs router…:>{ Any one have a better idea. Love the the Curve, but crappy reception without wireless. Thanks All.
