Connecting Remote Users

by johnnow . Updated 25 years, 11 months ago

CURRENT NETWORK
1. NT 4.0 with RAS – 5 Modems handing out IP addresses from a static pool. We are our own ISP. Remote users connect to the internet through the RAS.
2. NT 4.0 resolving WINS and DNS.
3. NT 4.0 Terminal Server with network printerssetup for each user.
4. NT 4.0 running SNA connecting AS/400 and IBM Mainframe
5. NT 4.0 RRAS/VPN

USERS – Current
1. Remote users dial-in to RAS and are validated to use the entire network.

PROBLEM
1. More than one remote user needs to connect from a client site with only one phone line. The solution needs to use the 3Com Office Connect 56k Lan Modem and allow the user to print to his printer from Terminal Server. Each connected user must have full use of the network.

Each server must have knowledge of the remote user.

Need additional info e-mail.
