Consultancy rates? Supportive data?

Where can I get some hard data on consultancy rates (sr level software / e-biz, telecom architect)? I was with an optical startup (employee #2), it folded, and I’m on the street. I’ve had a couple of offers to do contract consulting and would like some hard data to support a reasonably competitive rate.

Please excuse me if this has been answered before. This is my first day on TR and my first post. Just thought I’d put something out here while I panned for nuggets.
