Hi,
I run two Lans 75 miles apart Novell 5 Lan (30 users)and Novell 4.11 Lan (12users) for a CPAS office and we are looking at trying to incorporate Citrix. I also have a GroupWise 5.5 email server. One of the partners at my company thought whynot do away with trying to have Citrix talk to Novell by upgrading the Novell server to Windows 2000 and Installing Citrix on it also. I tried to explain that Citrix is acting as a remote/apps server not a file server. I would rather keep Novell since I am a CNE5 and have no traning for Windows 2000. I have also made the partner aware of virus that are written to go after Win 2000 servers. Does anyone know of any articles that would help me convince the partner to stay with Novell and add a Win 2000 server for Citrix. Also does anyone just use Terminal server with Win 2000 server and web enable apps, instead of purchasing Citrix? Any suggestions, links would be appreciated.
thanks,
Rob
