Corporate Training for Consultants

Here at my company we have a rather rigorious training program that seems to change all the time as does the market for IT professionals. Over time the training program has become less and less valuable to the consultants in my group. Does anyone have an valuable suggestions of how to keep my consultants engaged with projects, while keeping up to date with their certifications?
