“create a boot floppy” no floppy drive.

I am trying to install drake 9.0 onto my dell laptop, the problem is the laptop won’t boot from the mandrake cd , i have plowed through the help files, only to be told i need to creat a boot floppy, well dell in their wisdom havn’t given any of there new latops floppy drives.

is there anyway i can create a boot floppy on a cd . i just pretend it’s a floppy ?

i have done this before with windows. created a boot “floppy” on cd..

but the mandrake boot floppy image exe will not let me ectract the files onto anything exept a floppy disk , so back to square one..

any help , comments or sugestions are always welcome..
