Crossing Over

I have recently stumbled into the world of basic programming. My backgroung is in education and I am currently a training specialist – creating web based classes and writing instruction sets for customized software. Programming first peaked my inerest as I was teaching myself Access and became facinated by SQL statements. Then I created some forms for a website and wanted to understand how ColdFusion was making it work. Most recently, I’ve been spending my evenings experimenting with Java. Whatsteps can I take to build on my very basic skills and is there any section of IT that my skills would be a match for?
