cutting edge?

I’m graduating with a bachelors degree in software engineering in a few months and wondering were I should look for a job. There are only 5 or 6 colleges in the country currently offer this major so I hope to land a good job quickly. My question is where to I find a job that isn’t just business apps or database management. I don’t want my chance to pass me by but I have no idea where to find a cutting edge job!
