I am experiencing a su=ituation where something is creating numerous folders each night on one of my NT 4.0 member servers. All of the folders are being created under C:WINNT. All of the folders start with WFV and follow some sort of numbering sequence; WFV1, WFV01, WFV101, WVF2, etc. I didn’t catch this for a couple of weeks and there had been several hundred folders created. It seems about 25 folders are being created nightly. Some of the folders contain exchng2.cab files of various sizes;most contain nothing. I know that exchng2.cab is some sort of installation file for an Exchange client setup, but I don’t know what would be causing anything to try and run. I’ve also scanned for viruses-nothing. I have searched the internet for anyoccurrences of either exchng2.cab or WFV* folders and found bacically nothing. Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated.
