CYBER-SECURITY TECHNOLOGY
My son will be completing a 4-year undergraduate degree program next year (2002); he will be graduating in July 2002. He is keen on taking up postgraduate work in an IT field. We are planning a family business providinge-Commerce services so cyber-security to us is not just an academic interest, it is a business concern.
Some 3 years (or so), the Clinton administration proposed The Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection, a new grant-making institute to support research in areas which were not pursued by either the public or private sectors. The program would be modeled after the military ROTC program. Unfortunately the information I have about the institute ends at the proposal stage.
QUESTIONS
1. Does anyone have more information on the institute and the scholarship awarding program? May I have the contacts to the institute?
2. Which colleges have renowned research and development programs on e-Commerce, especially on cyber security (encryption technology, etc.)?
