Decrimination by location …

by lump_16 . Updated 23 years, 7 months ago

I’m a recent College grad from BFE, Ohio. The reason I went into IT is to move to an actual city where people outnumber cows instead of vica-versa.

Plenty of experience for any entry level job I would think yet any job I seem to be in the running for I am basically denied becuase the employers want “Local Canidates Only”

Maybe I’m jsut a bit more frustrated than I should be but couldn’t this be considered a form of descrimination?

If I’m not asking for relocation assistance what is the problem? Whats the difference if I wanted to commute 2 hours to work, instead of 15 minutes untill I find an apartment?

Just curious of anyone elses thoughts on this or the reasoning behind it.

Thanks,
