Hi. I am new to this forum. In hopes of joining the it workforce in 4 years, I am curious to know what would be a better route of study. I am about to enroll in college, but can’t decide between 2 schools. One school is not so well known, (Western Governors University) and is offering a bachelors in information technology-software, with 10 certifications included in the degree. The certifications are:
CIW Professionial
CIW Associates
CIW Database Design Specialist
CompTIA A+ IT Technician
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Project+
CompTIA Security+
Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform
Sun Certified Associate for the Java Platform
Microsoft Certified Professional (based on MS 70-270 Windows XP Exam)
The other school is a well known traditional school, (Florida Tech) and is offering a bachelors in computer information systems, but without any certifications. I would appreciate any input any of you have as to which school I should choose in order to obtain a great job.
