I was reading a question today asking if files deleted across the network could be re-directed to a folder, rather than just disappearing into the ether…
I have been aware of this problem for at least 6 years, and was wondering if anyone knew of a solution? I can’t believe that Microsoft have not addressed this issue yet!
I live in dread of the day someone accidentally deletes one of the big active shares on our server. I know I can restore from a backup taken the previous night, but still, cumulatively, hours of work will have been lost.
Can the delete procedure be programed to push files deleted from remote drives to a temporary holding area?
