Dell Laptop-Restore goes to blue screen

I?m trying to restore the xp operating system in a Dell Inspiron B120. Something I’ve done numerous times to other machines.

The BIOS is reset to boot from the CD and everything looks fine. The files load and then a BLUE screen. I spoke to a fellow IT tech and he said he experienced it once himself. The solution was to go into the BIOS settings and change the RAID ACHD to ATA.

I attempted to do that but could not find anything within the BIOS settings that even resembles that setup. There was nothing allowing changes to the HDD setup.

Has anyone experienced this or anything that?s closely related to it.
