Desktop/Laptop roaming profile powermanagement

I currently use roaming profiles on an SBS 2003 R2 system with XP clients. Roaming profiles work great between desktops. When the laptop logs on to the domain, the porfile changes the power management settings in the profile for either desktop or laptop. This creates a power issue on the desktops as well as the laptop. I would like to know if there is a registry restriction I can apply to the laptop or a GPO I can modify to not update the power management settings.
