DHCP and a Static IP

by battallion14 . Updated 25 years, 10 months ago

I am a lowly MCSE student and am goofing around with my home machine. It is currently running NT server 4.0 and is a PDC. I access the internet through a Cisco 675 and my ISP uses DHCP. I have 2 NICs and was wondering if it was possible to use both DHCP and Static IP? I know the easiest solution would be to change my service to static IP but do not want that expense. I could also add a hub and connect through that to the internet, but would prefer not to. Any ideas out there? Getting tired of looking at the DHCP error message when I boot up.
