Digital Camera Takes Over Mapped Drive

Olympus digital camera USB. D Drive is DVD, E Drive is CD-RW, F is mapped to server. Digital cams look for next available drive and only recognize physical drives not mapped drives. I cannot change mapped letter F without manually reindexing thousands of files. How can I get the cam to skip F or work around? Any comments appreciated.
