DNS Appliances/solutions

Hi there

I am looking to implement a new DNS solution to replace my NT4 Solution. I am keen to steer away from windows for security and stability windows and am thinking of maybe running bind on linux or unix. Can anyone tell me their experiences on implementing anything similar?

I am also intersted in the possibility of using a DNS appliance of some sort. Any feedback would be great.
