Do Financial People EVER get a clue???

I’m sure everyone has seen this before: The IT department is burdened with keeping technology of the company running. But the corporate bean counters only see the money that is being spent, they never notice the things that save money over a long term…they look for quick fixes to make the books look good (this month), but they don’t notice that you saved the company several thousands of dollars over the next several months. I say face it, IT is a cost center and there are necessary costs if technology is what runs the company. How do we make these people understand???
