Do I get certified or not?

I work for a small company. I have many odd jobs where we provide various services for different clients. Over the years I have learned Basic, Visual Basic, Ms-Access (2.0 – 2000), and some SQL Server 7.0.

I know a little about a lot of things but not any one thing in particular. Should I tried to get a certification such as MCP or MCSD, or do I need to learn Java/C++ instead?

I am in a quandry right now with where I should take my career. Any comments would be helpful.
