Dell has decided to make it an option on there higher end models. And the article suggests that other companies are soon to follow.
How about it>? Do you think you could surrive with-out a floppy drive. I know you probablly have one of those pen drives that plug into the USB.
I guess when you think about it, we could get rid of them. It would be like the phase out of the cassettetape. Thousands of tapes sitting around collecting dust, not to mention the drives themselves. Well I guess it is one more thing that we use that after a while we can do without.
Well its a good thing that I still lots of floppy drives sitting around not to mention games that took 18 disks to load 😉 Sometimes for nostalgia sake, I load the games up and watch my 6 year old laugh at how funny the games were then, after about 5 minutes he asks if we can play UT. Oh well….like Elton John sings GoodBye Yellow brick road….the floppy its been a long road with one…
