Drive loss in a citrix ICA client world

A recently implemented network, running a combination of Windows NT and Windows 2000 servers, and running a farm of terminal servers running Citrix 1.8. There is a frequent condition experienced by many of the 300 machines on the network. This is where their mapping to a network drive mysteriously disappears.
Does anybody recognise this? Any suggestions on cause?
