driver of linux for sata hdd

sir my name is bishwajeet kumar
i have a computer of following configuration :
processure: core 2 duo
mother board:intel original 945
ram: 1 gb
hdd sata : 160 gb
sir , i want to learn linux so i want to driver of linux for sata hdd, so , please send me the driver .
