drivestate.bat

I have Windows 2000 server install and I receive the following error String script (/winnt/system32/drivestate.bat) Matches ‘dead’
(previous : i: drive is dead/m: is dead)
does this issue have to do with the drives? How would I resolve it? All the drives work and I rebooted it but the issue still occurs.
