I want to know how can i disconnect a connection to a share folder? I am using windows 2000 professional pcs.
I am having a PC to which scanner is attached. I logged on to the pc with a certain user account name. User use that PC to scan the document and later transfer the scanned images to their respective PCs/shares. There are 50+ users. because of some unavoidable reasons, I cannot connect this pc to my windows 2000 Domain controller.
The problem arrives here only. Once a user established a connection to his shared folder by using his username and password and transfer the data, the network connection share folder remains active for a long time (till i restart the scanner PC). When another user comes for scanning, he can access the shared folders of the person who have scanned previously. The connection to share remains persistent and it is not dropped.
How can i prevent my user to connect to the folder that is accessed by earlier users?
