Dual Boot Win 2K Pro & Linux 7.2 Problem

Partitioned drive leaving space for Linux. Installed Win. 2000 Pro. Installed Linux 7.2, used GRUB instead of LILO, set Linux as default. When I boot I see the screen giving me the option to select Linux or Win.2000 Pro, Linux works fine, but when Iselect Win.2000 the message I receive is “\system32\ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt.” Tried copying a new ntoskrnl.exe to the \winnt\system32 dirctory (didn’t work), checked boot.ini and re-edited (didn’t work) – any other suggestions? I’d like to keep the Dual Boot and not go through re-installation all over again.
