Dual Boot with WInsme and Red Hat linux

I hope someone can reassure me for what i am about to do next.I have a 30. gig hard drive and successfully installed Linux as a separate partion(Logical) with Winsme. After i installed it i was unable to dual boot. I was only defaulting to Winsme. I know that Lilo has something to do with it, but i am not sure what to do next. I was also unable to use the bootmagic utility from powerquest due to the lilo file is not loading from somewhere? Can someone help me on the easiest way to call on lilo to install itself to the rrot partion of Linux or the MBR? thanks
