dual layer dvd burning problem

My new pioneer dvd-rw dvr -112d with latest firmware(1.2) burns cds successfully but when burning dvd+r dl disks(Aone specifically) win xp reboots – and the disks are lost. No event errors noted! The pc’s psu(Antec 400w)is stable and reliable, 2.5GB ram and its a fresh install of win xp home.
I need to find an answer to this soon-I am self employed at home and my PC is an essential tool. Could this be a driver issue or could it be the choice of blank media?
