dvd is working but cd is not recognize

good day its my first time to ask a question in forum..pls try to help me and find the reason and solution, why my dvd rom is not working on cd’s but in dvd it’s ok..i’m using hp dv6000 (using hl dt st dvdram gsa t20n ata )..before there’s no hassle using on it….tnx
