E-Mail Publisher with Outlook 2003

I am demoing Microsoft Publisher 2007. I have Outlook 2003 as my default e-mail program. When I attempt to send a publisher file as an e-mail I receive error “to send…you must install Office Outlook 2007 or Express 5.0 as defalut program” According to Publisher Outlook 2003 should be acceptable also – what gives?
