On our Exchange 2000 system, we have created Contacts and populated them with Internet addresses (for Blackberry e-mail exchange). When we forward messages to an Internet based Earthlink account, no problems. When we select the option to BOTH forward the message and to keep a copy in the mailbox we experience the following – the first messages goes to both places. All subsequent messages to Earthlink will stick in the queue until after the delivery time out period. Then, sometimes the message is delivered anyway, sometimes not. This does not happen to mail sent to AOL or Hotmail accounts – they are always forwarded to the proper locations in all cases. It doesn’t matter if the message originates in-house or from the Internet. Once the queue clears out, then messages are once again sent to Earthlink without delay. I’ve reviewed my DNS setups and find no issues. Messages sent to Earthlink accounts work, as long as they are sent or forwarded. They fail if forwarded to both the Internet and the local mailbox. Any ideas?
